My good friend Leuga, I just found out about Jo's passing on the Samoa News web site. What a beautiful memorial. I am saddened to learn of the news, but gladdened to read what your family had written about him. Nothing more blessed than to be loved by your family. I am far away still in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, but I think back lovenly on my time in AS and LBJ. We were a good team! Until I come to visit this year, Me ke aloha pumehana, Dr. Chuck McCutcheon, RN
I only met Mr. Turner once, even though I spoke to him on the phone several times. It was clear in the way that his son's and daughter held themselves, that he was a man of principle and integrity. One of the best ways to tell if a man lived a fulfilling life is to look at his family. Mr. Turner, you did well. Safe travels....

La’u Lupe Ua Lele (My Dove Has Flown)
(Written by John Alailima c 1906 for his Tongan sweetheart who died suddenly of illness)
La’u lupe ua lele. Lele i le vaomaoa Talofa e i la’u pele! O la’u pele ua leiloa
Tali: ‘Ua touluulu mai o le sau mai Heremoni e Ua to’ulu lealofa I le mauga o Kipeona Ta’aga e a tama o lo’ua gasolo mai O’u mata e tilotilo e te le o sau ai
La’u fualosa e, la’u fua veloveta e O la’u fua ua ui moto ae le’i matala e Oi Oi Oi e! I lenei malaia O le oti fa’afuase’I I le lalolagi e
My Dove has flown. He has flown to the deep forest. Oh my beloved sweetheart is lost.
Chorus: The dew from Heremon drips down (on me). My love (for him) drops on the mountain of Kipson (Biblical places). A procession of boys walk by. My eyes looked, but you were not among them.
My rose flower, my velvet flower. My flower was picked before its full blossom. Alas! Alas! This calamity,of sudden death on this earth.
